BASIC DESIGN AND DRAWING I-Tom Rusher
In this red model, merged geometries and trajectories are used to create a dynamic multi-layered excavated terrain. Masses are transformed into planes and planes are transformed into frames. The white pieces shows the understanding of the gestural moments and regions. The main idea of this study was to show the dynamism, morphology and animation of forms in the Marcel Duchamp’s painting of The Passage from Virgin to Bride(1912)
Dynamic Tracings
-analysis of the image for layers of depth
-interpretation of color shades, values and gradient
Geometric Idealization
-definition of literary micro macro gestures by using only
defined geometric shapes
-showing implicit and explicit forms
-allowing overlapping and transparency
Depth Re-imagining/Merge
-combination of the dominant spatial elements and
transformation
-foreground and background
Trajectories/ Composite Territory
-transformation of the geometric idealization
-merge previous segments into new polygonal forms
-idealization and assimilation of forms
-alignments and placement of transformed forms
